I asked the devs this and they told me there is no limit to the number of episodes for each world/chapter, only a requirement to complete a certain number before unlocking the next world. The episodes just keep regenerating indefinitely.

The wand only appears when you tap on a building or other item and it takes you inside, then wand appears and you can use it to work out the puzzle

It's an okay game but I like to know what goal I'm trying to achieve. Too many uncertainties.. I'm not sure when I'm approaching a new chapter .. Not sure of the number of episodes in each chapter. It would be helpful to know when I'm ending one chapter and about to start a new one beforehand. Thanks.
