Best Race

Early in the game you'll be prompted to select your race and body type. Below you will find all the details on all the options plus who we this is the choice as best race in Elder Scrolls: Blade.

Breton

10% Spell Resistance

+5% Damage with Longswords, War Axes, and Maces

Dark Elf

15% Fire Resistance

High Elf

15% Shock Resistance

+5% Magicka Regeneration

Imperial

+5% Health Restored from Healing Effects

+5% Damage with Longswords, War Axes, and Maces

Khajiit

+5% Armor Rating

+10% Poison Damage

Nord

15% Frost Resistance

+5% Damage with Greatswords, Battleaxes, and Warhammer

Orc

+5% Armor Rating

+5% Damage with Abilities

Redguard

15% Poison Resistance

+5% Stamina Regeneration

Wood Elf

15% Poison Resistance

Changing Your Character

While you can only create one character in the game, you can change your race, bodytype and gender during the game, this is official from Bethseda who posted this: How do I make another Character.

So if you make a mistake with your character selection when you start, all is not lost! You can change your character at any point in the game by visiting with Theodor Gorlash.

He'll be found at near the front entrance to the town, speak with him and ask to change your character and take it from there. The process however will cost 50 Gems! So it's not something you should be thinking about doing too often.

Best Race

Our opinion at AppGamer is that the best race is Imperial or Breton. We like both for their buffs with the heavy weapons, but also like Breton for their increased spell resistance and Imperial for their health restoration perk.

Argonian also has a good health buff, but I would only select them if you are happy with using the lighter weapons.

Best Race Tier List

Everyone loves a Tier List, and while it's still early days in the game, we thought we'd take a stab at putting together a Tier List for the character choices in Elder Scrolls: Blades.

It's really subjective however and for sure people will have different opinions (feel free to share them in comments)
