You have to take it to the sheriff and exchange it with the firearms guy.

I have defeated the mutant bear and I took the head to the sheriff and talked to everyone there, and nothing asked me for the head, I don't know what to do with this bear head now lol, can't exchange it at sheriff 0 0 REPORT

you have to take it to the girl other side of the police station. Instead of going to the left to sheriff, turn right. Girl is in the cage, will give you items for trade for rare objects such as the bear head, wolf blood, etc.Guest Answered:
The sheriff's wife will occasionally offer legendary weapon parts for it. Different quest each day.
