What can I do with multiple "Large Backpacks"? Is there any way to sell them or fill them all up with items?

At this point in time, I THINK they are trash. I kept several thinking I would need them to pick up stuff if I died. I died, chose NOT to revive with stuff, appeared back at home with no possessions nor clothing but WITH my back pack. Also, you can't put a backpack in a stash if it has stuff.
