Jun 2nd 2026

June is a heavy month for strategy's live-service regulars, with stacked season calendars across base building, tower defence and world conquest, plus a fresh city builder and a couple of names worth watching further out.

The headline acts are Clash Royale, which opens its frosty Stone Cold season with a new Hero and a deck-free new mode, and Arknights: Endfield, which finally brings the Arknights series' Contingency Contract challenge mode to the frontier. Bloons TD 6 is lining up a He-Man crossover Hero to land with the new film, and on the horizon Pokémon Champions edges closer to its mobile debut.

Here's the full list.

Coming in June

Clash Royale

Update: Season 84 "Stone Cold", live from June 1

Supercell has kicked off Clash Royale's June season, Season 84, under a frosty theme called Stone Cold. Princess receives her Evolution this season, gaining an Ice Arrows ability: her first shot and every third shot after that fire an icy arrow that slows nearby enemies and leaves behind a frozen zone, with the slow lingering even after she's defeated.

The season also adds a new Hero, Tombstone, the game's first building-based Hero card. You place the Tombstone as a building, then activate its Regal Revival ability to summon Tomb Queen onto the arena. Hero Tombstone sits outside Pass Royale and can be unlocked for free through the Undead Bazaar event.

There's a new mode too. Princess Gambit drops decks and King Towers entirely, instead handing both players from a shared pool of 40 random cards, so placement matters more than cycling. Season 84 also brings the Victory Run mode, the return of Seasonal Trophy Road, a progression overhaul that swaps King XP for a new Collection Level system, and a large balance pass.

Clash of Clans

Update: June 2026 season (Anime Fury), live now

Clash of Clans opens June with the Anime Fury season, an anime and manga-themed run from Supercell that drops daily manga-style poster and comic collectibles across the first half of the month. The June Gold Pass headlines with the Dragon Duke skin and the return of the Goblin King.

The Archer Queen gets a new piece of Epic Equipment this month, the Monolith Arrow. The competitive calendar is unusually busy: Clan War Leagues run from the start of the month with a bonus second CWL later on, alongside Clan Rush, Clan Games, and Resource Fest loot boosts.

A game update is also due mid-month, with official sneak peeks scheduled for June 13 and 14.

Arknights: Endfield

Update: Version 1.3 "Sketches of Lost Heirlooms", June 5

Arknights: Endfield, the real-time strategy RPG with factory and base building from developer Hypergryph and publisher GRYPHLINE, gets its Version 1.3 update, "Sketches of Lost Heirlooms", on June 5. It rolls out in two phases, with the first banner on June 5 and the second on June 26.

The update opens a new region, Sword Vault Dale, a long-lost ruin of broken structures and floating cliffs that you explore alongside the Wuling Watch. Two new 6-star Operators join the roster: Mi Fu, captain of the Wuling Watch, in the first phase, and Camille in the second.

The big addition for long-time fans is Contingency Contract, the customisable hardcore challenge mode from the wider Arknights universe, making its debut here. Players switch on Test Criterion and Key Criteria modifiers to scale difficulty themselves, which rewards adjusting your team rather than overpowering each fight. A Backup Power quality-of-life system also arrives to keep factory lines running when a facility starts producing the wrong material.

Bloons TD 6

Update: Version 55.0 with He-Man crossover, around June 5

Ninja Kiwi's Bloons TD 6 is lining up a crossover for its next update, Version 55.0. A He-Man Hero is set to arrive alongside the Masters of the Universe film on June 5, built as two Heroes in one through the Sword of Power: you can support your Monkey team as Prince Adam, go all in on solo damage as He-Man, or switch between the two.

The He-Man Hero is a limited-time in-app purchase tied to the movie launch, with a related Hero unlockable for Monkey Money after that exclusive window closes. Version 55.0 is also set to introduce an official Mod System covering four core mod areas, first flagged in Ninja Kiwi's Version 53.0 notes.

Designer City 4

Release: June 1, 2026

Designer City 4 is the newest entry in London indie Sphere Game Studios' long-running city-building series. You grow a settlement from a small town into a sprawling city, balancing residents, jobs and services while keeping citizens happy, with thousands of buildings to unlock and no waiting timers.

It mixes real-world landmarks with futuristic architecture, adds dynamic day and night cycles and traffic, and lets you lean toward renewable energy or a high-tech build. You can play offline or online at your own pace.

On the Horizon

Pokémon Champions

Expected: later in 2026

Pokémon Champions is The Pokémon Company's battle-focused competitive game, built entirely around Pokémon battles across several modes. It launched on Nintendo Switch on April 8, 2026, and an iOS and Android version is confirmed to follow later in 2026, with summer the most commonly referenced window. A June listing briefly appeared on the Korean Pokémon site before being removed, and no firm global mobile date has been confirmed.

Two of the most-requested features are locked in: full cross-play between Switch and mobile, so players compete in the same pool, and cross-progression through Pokémon HOME, letting you carry teams and progress between platforms. The game is free-to-start.

Mobile store listings aren't live yet — we'll update when pre-registration opens.

Some of You May Die

Expected: July 24, 2026

Some of You May Die is a strategic roguelike autobattler from indie developer Octavia Blue, due on Android, iOS and PC via Steam on July 24, 2026. You draft heroes, stack duplicates of the same hero to level them up, and spend gold to boost stats and abilities before each automated fight, across single-player runs and online PvP.

Runs branch in different directions: you might flood the field with cheap units to win on numbers, or build a tiny squad of heavily upgraded heroes to carry the fight. Matches run around 10 to 20 minutes, and the game uses a pixel-art style. A free demo is already available on PC.

App Store pre-orders are open now; the Android listing is still to come.

That's June. Pokémon Champions is the one to watch if its mobile window firms up during the month, while Some of You May Die lands just into July. We'll refresh this list as more June content and dates are confirmed.
