Strange Case 2: Asylum Escape is a sequel to the popular Strange Case: The Alchemist from Labeledman. A mystery escape room style game where you have to follow the clues and discover the truth about the asylum you are lock up in.

  • You can look around the rooms you are in using the arrow buttons to the left and right.
  • Try to interact with all of the objects you see, some of these can be collected for later use, while others may be clues.
  • As you progress and find more items you may then be able to return to rooms and use them to open / unlock new items and areas.
  • When you encounter other characters in the game there will be conversation choices on the right to select.
  • There are some hints available in game by tapping the '?' icon. You can watch an ad or pay a small fee to remove the ads.

You start as you arrive at the Asylum hospital, you have been injured and now have no memory of who you are or why you are there.

In your room you will see a bed, and the door. You cannot leave the room yet as an orderly waits outside to stop you.

Tap on the bed to look under it. You can collect an old boot from here.

Now back up and turn to the right in the room to see a doorway to a bathroom. Tap this to go through.

You can view yourself in the mirror and tap on your refection to have a vision, the mirror breaks.

Tap on the grey tiles in the center, you will see a section with 1 broken white tile near the bottom and a lump on the top left. This is a puzzle.

To start the puzzle you need to use the boot to knock out the lump on the top left. Tap on the inventory (briefcase) icon on the bottom right and then select the old boot.

Then close the inventory and tap on the lump, with the lump removed you now need to move the broken tile from the bottom to the top left to let you collect it. The top left is an empty tile, you can tap any other tile next to the empty spot to move it to the empty space.

Back out of the bathroom and view the bed again. Select the broken tile and then tap on the bed sheet to cut a piece from it and collect the piece of bed sheet.

Now return to the bathroom, and view the toilet. Select the sheet and place it in the toilet. Then flush the toilet twice until the water is overflowing.

You can now return to the main room and tap on the door to leave the room. When you do this you will have a dialog option to explain that the toilet is clogged. Select this and the follow up option and the Orderly will leave to get a plumber.

You can now explore the corridor. Room number 1 on he left is your room. Tap on the clipboard by the door to read the details. Make a note of the reference number on the top #7-20.

Now tap on door #2, another patient.

View the clipboard by this door as well. Note this reference number, #2-31.

Now move to the right in the corridor, you find the office of Dr Death. A totally normal and not ominous name. Enter the office.

You cannot escape from the window so first read the note on the desk.

Now tap on the filing cabinets behind the desk to view them. Notice that they are labelled 1 to 9. With the center one missing the number 5. You also cannot open the center drawer

Following the reference numbers found above we can open drawer number 7 and then on the number enter at the bottom we can tap on it and enter the number 20 to let us access file #7-20 (the number we saw on our clipboard).

We can see some details about our self and the photo, but make a note of the 4 numbers on the left. Also note the positions they are in.

Now look for the other reference number, draw #2, file #31.

These are similar to the file reference numbers, and if we arrange all of the 8 clue numbers in a grid to match the filing cabinets we get the following.

We have already seen 2 of these files, so now look through the other drawers and view each of the file references shown. For example open drawer 1 and view file number 15.

Each of these extra files will be empty, but once you have opened them all the center drawer will be open.

Look inside the drawer and collect the Trinket. Once you go this the Doctor arrives to talk to you.

He will the ask you to perform some tests, these are puzzles.

Ink Blot Puzzle

  • The puzzles are to re arrange the pieces to complete the ink blot images. They are jumble up.
  • Simply tap pairs to swap them around
  • Look for the lines that denote the edge pieces to move them to the correct side and corners.
  • Then arrange center pieces to complete the picture.

Once you compete the test you will continue the conversation. The doctor will give you the key to the night stand in your room. This will contain personal belonging to try to help you remember.

Exit move back to your room and go in, you cannot do any more for now so tap on the bed and choose the 'Take Rest' option. You then have a dream / hallucination of strange happenings in the night.
