How can I get rid of the blue ball that keeps appearing after I have had my turn in the top right hand..

How can I get rid of the blue ball that keeps appearing after I have had my turn in the top right hand corner? Smaller ones of these balls are on some of the letters I have in my hand. I don't want any of these, it slows the game!?
