May 6th 2023

Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is an auto battler game developed and published by Riot Games, based on the Dota Auto Chess game mode. TFT pits eight players against each other in online matches, where players build a team to outlast their opponents. Players compete in 1v1 matches until one last player remains standing. Players must assemble an ideal team of champions or heroes from a shared pool and outfit them with powerful items, manage their gold income, position their team in strategic formations to increase their chances of victory.

TFT: Team Fight Tactics Best Champions Description

Fiddlesticks

  • Fiddlesticks is a late-game support legendary with high Threat stat increases.
  • At the beginning of a fight, Fiddlesticks may seem to be idle, but it gathers the souls of fallen champions.
  • For every soul gathered, its AP is increased and mending. Eventually, Fiddlesticks will start draining life from surrounding enemy units while causing minor magical damage to them.
  • Fiddlesticks has no synergy with other qualities as a Threat champion and is intended to be a late-game reinforcement for your squad.

Janna

  • Janna is a Forecaster which grants her the ability to apply a different buff to adjacent allies depending on the current weather (changes every game)
  • Janna synergizes well with other Spellslingers like Annie, LeBlanc, Lux, Neeko, Sona, and Twisted Fate
  • Janna's ability, Twister, targets the largest group of enemies, knocking them up in the air and stunning them. The stun duration is 1.25s by default but can be upgraded to 10s.
  • Items that boosts her ability power is highly recommended such as Chalice of Power, Morellonomicon, and Statikk Shiv to name a few.

Leona

  • Leona's high cost of 5 is justified because she has access to three powerful synergies: Mecha: PRIME, Aegis, and Renegade. This gives her a lot of options and access to beneficial effects that can help in combat.
  • Mecha: PRIME combines 2 nearest Mecha units, absorbing their full base health.
  • Aegis provides Magic Resist bonuses to the team (Aegis units get more boost)
  • Renegade allows the unit to deal bonus damage; any last unit standing will deal even more damage.
  • Leona can use "Deus Ex Machina" to focus on a target and call an orbital laser strike that deals true damage per second to the target until it dies, and magic damage to nearby enemies.
  • To enhance her HP and HP-based regeneration or shield, her recommended item sets comprise items such as Dragon's Claw, Protector's Vow, Redemption, or Warmog's armor.

Mordekaiser

  • Mordekaiser's ability inflicts Shred (Magic Resist reduction) to all enemies then deals magic damage to them.
  • This unit has two synergies. The first one is Lasercorps. This synergy relies on summoned drones that deal magic damage. Each also receives a drone.
  • The second synergy, Ace, is somewhat challenging (or expensive) to attain since it requires either 1 or four unique Aces in your team. These Aces are Draven, Miss Fortune, and Samira.
  • Items that boost Mordekaiser's ability power are highly recommended. Consider equipping Hand of Justice, Jeweled Gauntlet, and Rabadon's Deathcap for example.

Nunu & Willump

  • Nunu and Willump's "Biggest Roboball Ever!" is a passive ability where Nunu and Willump roll a robotic ball at the start of each round then move across the board, damaging all enemies it passes through while simultaneously earning mana per second. The ball can also grow in speed and radius, further increasing the damage dealt by the ball by 10%.
  • Nunu and Willump has two synergies: Gadgeteen and Mascot
  • Gadgeteens create a random modified weapon that can be equipped by any unit each round. Although these weapons are potent, they aren't durable and will disintegrate after one round. Gadgeteens receive bonus damage and damage reduction for every item equipped to them. However, they do not generate new items to replace the ones that were left on the bench.
  • After Mascots die, they move to the sidelines to cheer on their team. Every 2 seconds, allies receive a percentage of their maximum health, which is increased by 1% for each cheering Mascot. Meanwhile, Mascots get double the amount of regeneration than allies.

Syndra

  • Syndra provides a shield to a random champion on your bench and flings them into the arena inside an orb towards the nearest enemy. The orb inflicts magic damage to enemies that are hit. However, the traits of champions thrown into the field do not become active except if for champions with the Corrupted classification.
  • Syndra has two synergies: Star Guardian and Heart. Star Guardian simply increases the amount of Mana gained in combat. Heart provides the Ability Power stacking to the entire team whenever a Heart unit activates their Ability.
  • Once she reaches 3-stars, Syndra can cast her ability 9 times even if there are no allied units on the bench.

Urgot

  • Urgot's ability, "Undertow", summons a massive wave that deals a percentage of the maximum HP of his enemies as magic dmg while also knocking them forward by 1 hex. The ability also stuns them (prevents them from moving, attacking, or casting their abilities) and has a chance to discover treasure, such as gold and loot.
  • As a Threat, Urgot doesn't have any synergies in exchange for having an incredibly powerful Ability and higher base stats.
  • It's recommended to give him items that increase his physical damage, ability power and/or attack speed like Zephyr, Zeke's Herald, Chalice of Power, and Runaan's Hurricane to name a few.

The game is constantly being updated so expect some adjustments done to characters' stats and abilities to maintain game balance. Such adjustments will directly affect the character's ranking in a tier list or their role in the current meta. As such, we will update this tier list as necessary. Please check out our tier lists for other titles.
