Upon reaching a max level of a playable character, you have the option to take the upgraded alter-ego of the original characters. To do this, you must reach the max level of the original character (Shadow, Ari, and Shock), prepare the materials required for the upgrade, and set aside the resources needed for the upgrade (jade or silver coins).

Lv. 60 - Guardian of Fire: start with a Fire Scroll
Lv. 90 - Fire substitue: All scrolls are fire
Kitari
Description: Ari has proven her strength now known as the fox warrior Kitari
Max Level: 120
Special:
Lv. 70 - Water Buff : Earn extra points for using water-based attacks
Lv 100 - Demon shield: Convert water orbs into Ice Shields
Awe
Description: Mouths are left agape when seeing his Wind Feather Cloak
Max Level: 120
Special:
Lv. 70: Black Storm: Rush 400m forward at the start of the game. Earning bonus points for enemies killed.
Lv. 100 - Levitate: hover when a wind orb is collected and earn extra points.
