Upgrade cards and take on all enemies in the creative tower defense game.

With literally hundreds of tower defense games to choose from in the Play Store and App Store, finding one that is worth investing time and energy into can be a bit of a grind. Well we are happy to say that Rush Royale TD definitely fits into the category of one of the better tower defense that is available.

But let's face it, mastering the game isn't a walk in the park, so we've put together some great tips and tricks to help you get off to a great start and understand what you need to do in the game a bit better.

Rush Royale Tower Defense Tips and Tricks

This game has been available for a few years now, and if you've only just discovered it, then you've probably got some catching up to do to get strong enough to battle some of the seasoned players that have been dedicated to the game for a long while.

The good news though is that the game is very generous to late starters and there are loads of rewards to grab in the early stages of the game so in no time at all, and with some grinding, you'll be leveling up your account quickly.

Upgrade your Cards

You need to collect cards of a particular unit in order to upgrade them, then also use gold in order to complete the upgrade. Upgraded cards will start off in battle stronger, so opening chest, collecting cards and gold is really important early in the game to get enough power to win those PVPs.

Merging Units

The results of merging units is random. The merge to rank 2 preserves the power of your units but starting at rank 3 they will lose some power.

So while merging will free up a space for another unit to enter the game, the merged level 3 unit may not be as powerful as two level 2 units. But once you have placed another unit in the free space and leveled that up a bit, then overall your power will be more.

Eight units of merge rank 1 can produce a single level 4 merged unit. It is strong, but not as strong as 8 level 1 units.

So, basically, don't rush level up everything asap, wait until you are at least running low on spaces in order to maintain overall strength.

Upgrading Units

Instead of summoning more units, it is often better to spend mana upgrading units that deal the most damage.

If you have a lot of the same unit already in play, then upgrading that unit type will be a good move to increase the power of all of that type of units instead of just adding one more new unit.

Upgrades will affect not only the units on the battlefield, but also any new units of the same type that get summoned later.

Early Game Tips in Vs Mode

VS mode can be a little frustrating early in the game because you may not have unlocked many cards yet and your hero level is likely to be quite low, coupled with the probability that you may not have the game mechanics sorted in your head yett. So here are a couple of tips for the VS game mode early in the game.

VS mode is when you take on another player in a head to head match. As you defeat enemies, they are then spawned onto your opponent's side and vice versa. So it really is a battle of speed and who can defeat the enemies the quickest.

What you should be doing is adding as many units onto the board as you can. Initially at least only merge any units to level 2, this will keep your power optimized. At this stage, the idea of merging is to try to get lots of units on the board of the same type.

So for example, if you are drawing a lot of yellow wizards, then, try merging other units to get more of this unit. Then use the power up option, and don't merge any wizard units. This will be a strong use of the power up as if you have a lot of the same unit type it will affect all of those units and could well mean the difference between winning and losing a battle.

Another tip early in the game is the watch the video ads for chest rewards. At the beginning you won't have many resources or bards, so watch the video ads when prompted to gain some freebies in the game and get more power quickly.

Co-Op Mode Tips

Co-Op mode is a really fun mode to play, especially if your partner is good. You can either play with a friend or with a random player. In the co-op mode you have to work together to defeat all of the waves.

If one of you are stronger then you will assist your partner when the enemies move closer to your own towers, so if you are not so good at the game yet, playing with a decent partner will help you complete the level and get all of the rewards!

The same tips that we wrote above for VS mode apply here, you want to fill all of your slots first then work out which unit you want to focus any upgrades on. Basically, whatever you have the most of, then start merging to get more of the same, and then hit the upgrades.

Conclusion

Rush Royale Tower Defense really is a top notch tower defense game. If you are new to this genre, then give it a chance as apart from the tower defense game, there are loads of interesting aspects to it, things to unlock and events to participate in. Can you play rush royale offline?

No you can't

Updated the game and lost all my progress, how do I get it back?

You can try asking the game support as they should be able to restore it. Tap the help button in the game settings menu to contact them.

Why do other players always drop out when I start co-op?

The same happens to me once in a while. An advanced player from my clan that those are probably advanced players looking for partners with "support decks". If they find you are not using a deck that could support them to reach well beyond wave 60, they immediately quit and go looking for someone else. From what he said, you can watch in youtube people reaching, say wave 90, and you will notice that is only possible if one of the players has a deck for support and the other has a deck for attack. Makes sense?
