By Richard Gardner | Jul 2nd 2026

July opens with two brand-new puzzle launches worth a look: Com2uS's logic puzzler ColorSweeper goes global on 2 July, while Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell's Orange Pop! brings its match-3-with-banter format into its first full month live. On the live-service side, Candy Crush Saga and Royal Kingdom both have fresh seasonal content running.

New This Month

ColorSweeper

Com2uS Holdings' logic puzzler ColorSweeper launches globally on iOS and Android on 2 July, developed by Korean studio ARRKKA. It blends Minesweeper's adjacency-clue logic with Nonogram-style number and colour hints, filling in a grid using deduction alone โ€” every stage is designed to be solvable without guessing, with rule-variant modes including hidden numbers and two- or four-colour grids. The game carried out a soft launch in North America ahead of its global release, where it built strong player retention.

ColorSweeper supports 12 languages and sits alongside Com2uS Holdings' broader 2026 slate, which includes match-3 title PawPop Match and RPG Star Sailor as the publisher works through eight new releases across genres this year.

Orange Pop!

Staple Games' Orange Pop! launched globally in mid-June, and is still fresh enough to be worth a first look this July. It's a match-3 puzzler built around Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell โ€” the Kenan & Kel duo โ€” who provide original voice performances that react to your clears, combos, and near-misses as you play. Levels are hand-built rather than procedurally generated, with the usual match-3 toolkit of row, column, and area clears plus boosters, alongside cosmetics to customise how the pair look in-game.

Beyond the puzzle mechanics, Orange Pop! is the first release in a wider expansion of the Kenan & Kel brand that also includes a feature film and a comic book series currently in development. To mark the launch, developer Staple Games donated $1 per download during the game's first 24 hours, up to $100,000, split between the Kenan Thompson Family Foundation and the National College Resources Foundation.

Notable Updates

Candy Crush Saga

Update: Soccer Season, through 5 July

King's Candy Crush Saga is running a Soccer Season event through 5 July, where players climb through weekly leagues for sweeter rewards as they progress. It follows on from the game's biggest event of the year, the All Stars 2026 tournament, which wrapped its Live Final in London in early June with a share of a $1,000,000 prize pool on the line.

Candy Crush Saga remains one of mobile's biggest match-3 games more than a decade after launch, with new levels and features added every week on top of boosters like the Color Bomb, Lollipop Hammer, and Jelly Fish.

Royal Kingdom

Update: Water Park District and Ocean Collection Season, through 29 July

Dream Games' Royal Kingdom added 100 new levels alongside its latest content drop, opening up the Water Park as a new district to expand into and introducing the Goblin as a new enemy type. Both the Water Park district and a matching Ocean Collection season run through 29 July, giving players a full month to work through the associated cards and rewards.

Royal Kingdom is Dream Games' sequel to Royal Match, starring King Robert's younger brother King Richard as he builds and defends a kingdom through match-3 puzzles, with a two-week content cadence that keeps new districts, items, and enemies arriving alongside the core level progression.
