Mobile Games Weekly Update Roundup: 5-11 October 2026
Welcome to this week's update roundup. October has arrived, which means Halloween seasons across most of the big live-service games, plus a crossover and two major version updates that landed just before the week began.
Clash Royale has gone electric for Shocktober with a free Evolution up for grabs, and Pokémon GO has Zorua lined up for Saturday's Community Day. Seven Knights Re:Birth is giving Tanjiro away for logging in, and Wuthering Waves has finally added a way to replay its early story.
Here's the full list.

Clash Royale
Update: 5 October 2026
Supercell's Shocktober season started in Clash Royale on 5 October, and the electric theme runs through both of its headline additions: Hero Electro Wizard and the Electro Giant Evolution.
The Evolution is the one most players will chase, because it's free. Complete the Shocktober: The Movie! album event, which runs from 6 October to 2 November, and you get Evo Electro Giant along with an emote and a tower skin. Its backpack sends out an electric pulse that lowers the level of enemy troops caught in it.
The event calendar is busy. The Spooky Chess competitive league runs from 5 to 19 October, the C.H.A.O.S. mode adds 20 new cards, and a community event called Keep the Lights On is on the way. Later in the season there's the Power Surge Global Tournament from 20 to 25 October and a 20-Win Challenge from 26 October to 2 November.
Pokémon GO
Update: 10 October 2026
Zorua is the star of October's Community Day in Pokémon GO, running on Saturday 10 October from 2pm to 5pm local time. It'll spawn far more often than usual, and there's a chance of finding a Shiny one.
Evolve Zorua during the event, or up to four hours after it ends, and you'll get a Zoroark that knows the Fast Attack Sucker Punch.
The bonuses are the usual generous set for a Community Day: triple XP for catches, double Candy, a better chance of Candy XL, three-hour Incense and one-hour Lure Modules. Trades also cost 50% less Stardust. If you want more Zorua, there's a $1.99 Special Research ticket with three encounters, a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL.
Seven Knights Re:Birth
Update: Part 1 live now, Part 2 from 15 October 2026
Netmarble's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba collaboration is underway in Seven Knights Re:Birth, and it runs in two parts until 29 October.
Part 1 brings in Tanjiro Kamado and Zenitsu Agatsuma. Tanjiro is free, handed out as a day-one login reward, and Zenitsu can be earned through play. There's a Legendary pet as well: Nezuko Kamado.
The collab content centres on Infinity Castle, a floor-by-floor challenge mode with rewards along the way and Akaza waiting as the boss of its challenge stage. Part 2 starts on 15 October and adds Giyu Tomioka and Shinobu Kocho.
Clash of Clans
Update: Portal Panic from 8 October 2026
The Cosmic Curse season is running in Clash of Clans through October, and its main event, Portal Panic, starts on 8 October and runs until 25 October.
Portal Panic is a medal event. You collect Sour Elixir to unlock rewards and Rift Medals, then spend the medals on the Portal Pendant, a new Epic Equipment for the Minion Prince. A Portal Challenge from 6 to 13 October gives you a look at the Pendant first.
The season's temporary troop is the Totem Thrower, which hits hard from six tiles away. On its first attack and every fourth after that, it throws a totem that stuns nearby defences and summons a Tiny Totem. Later in the month there's a Cosmic Streak event from 16 to 31 October, which rewards attacking every day for seven days in a row, and Clan Games from 22 to 28 October.
Brawl Stars
Update: Running through October 2026
Season 55 has brought Brawl-o-ween back to Brawl Stars, and this year it's built around a mystery. Gus has gone missing, and the story plays out in phases across the month, with puzzles and community choices unlocking as it goes.
The Brawl Pass leads with two Halloween skin lines, Fortune Teller P and Cursed Shade. In the shop you'll find Dr. Bellenstein, Bellenstein's Monster Piper, Flame Rider Chuck and Terrornaut Damian.
There's a new daily reward loop too. Gus's balloon, Loony, sits on the home screen and fills up as you win, paying out once you've racked up six wins. Supercell has also added a new Coffin Box.
Wuthering Waves
Update: 30 September 2026
Version 3.7 went live in Wuthering Waves on 30 September, and its first week overlaps with this one. Kuro Games has added two new 5-star Electro Resonators: Hsin, who uses a Rectifier and headlines the first half, and Suoming, a sword user who follows later in the version. Their signature weapons are Blooming Jadehaven and Unspoken Rue.
The quality-of-life additions are the bigger story for a lot of players. Main Quest Replay launches with the story from Versions 1.1 to 1.3, so you can go back through the early chapters. The camera gains handheld and selfie modes, unequipped duplicate Echoes now stack automatically, and team setups get a new 3D preview.
The main story continues with Chapter IV Act IV, "Simulacrum of the Heart", and limited-time events include Cubie Wars.
Honkai: Star Rail
Update: 28 September 2026
Version 4.6, "Dance With the Beast Before Moonrise", launched in Honkai: Star Rail on 28 September, and Pearl is its one new 5-star. She's an Ice character on the Path of Elation and the CEO of Planarcadia. She can spend her "Certified Banger" to reduce damage for the whole team, and her Deep Learning state lets her learn from teammates' combat data for Enhanced ATK.
Evanescia and Mortenax Blade get reruns during the version. The main event is Love, Ghosts & Robots, where you help run a mechatron workshop, and Interastral Peace Gala: One Take is a combat event framed as a reality show. Hyacine and Evanescia both get new outfits.
If you've been waiting on the Zenless Zone Zero crossover, it's coming, but not yet. HoYoverse has confirmed Ellen and Astra Yao for Version 4.8.
Tower of God: New World
Update: Running to 14 October 2026
Netmarble has added [Noble Swordsman] White to Tower of God: New World as a new SSR+ Teammate. He fights with five floating blades, and the launch events built around him run until 14 October.
Alongside him there's a new story event, Khun vs. Arie Family Showdown!, and a rerun of the [Family Head] Gustang summon for anyone who missed him the first time.
That's the list for this week. Next week, Part 2 of the Demon Slayer collaboration opens in Seven Knights Re:Birth on 15 October, and the second half of October fills up in Clash Royale once its C.H.A.O.S. events begin.
