After a certain level, why bother merging more of the object producers, like the grocery cart?

After a certain level, why bother merging more of the object producers, like the grocery cart? They stop producing different items, and keeping all the low level items to level up just feels like a waste of space

The higher level producers produce more items before needing to cool down. Ex: level 5 fish net produces 8 shrimps, but a level 6 shellfish net will produce fish and shrimp, but can produce up to 10 instead of 8. Same for pool bag, coffee pot, etc.
