Each grass tile needs to be used twice in a row to remove. First time it goes lighter green, then it will clear if you link it again. If you don't though, it will go back to dark green - plus it also spreads if you make a move that doesn't link any grass tiles. It's a pain, but doable once you get the hang of it.

In my case, the grass always grows even when I make a move that does link a grass tile. I have to resort to luck. 3 0 REPORT

Just figured out. Grass tiles next to each other form a grass patch. If at least one tile in that patch is linked in a turn, then that patch will not grow. But if there are other patches or single tiles, then those will grow. So try to maintain only one patch of grass tiles next to each other. Guest Replied
I have tried this and it still keeps growing. I’m so frustrated I’m about to delete the game and play a different one, Guest Replied
Tried over 30 times to go pass level 651 those darn grasses just keep at it. Also want to delete the game now.Guest Replied
