There are magic repair hammers in the game that you can drag to any restoration project. But I can't do it it won't work on anything. How do you use the hammer?

There are 4 levels to the magic hammer. Purple being the usable one. You can drag the level 4 purple hammer to buildings for restoration points. I don’t know how many points they give or if they just complete the restoration goal, but I hope that helps some. There is literally no info online about how these things work.
