Haunted Laia Walkthrough and Guide

Welcome to our Full walkthrough for Haunted Laia, an escape room mystery story game from Dark Dome. Fans of the Dark Dome series will recognize the play style and themes of this new episode in the related mystery stories.

In Haunted Laia you play as Laia a young woman who has moved to a new house with her family. But then when the family disappears and Laia wakes up not remembering what happened or where her father and brother are you need to start exploring your mysterious surroundings and solving the puzzles to discover the truth.

Haunted Laia Guide Tips

• The game is full of complex puzzles with clues to codes and combinations hidden in the house. As with previous Dark Dome games the codes and symbols that you need will vary with each play though.
• We will give an explanation of the methods for solving each puzzle so that it your game requires a different code you will understand how to find it.
• You can use the arrows on the left and right of the screen to turn around and face different directions in a room.
• If you have any questions for any stage of the game please head to the Answers Page to ask there.

Haunted Laia Walkthrough

You begin in a mysterious house, you can look around to find clues. The first view is of a door.

Begin by collecting the rope from the floor by the chair. Then tap the arrow on the left to turn left and see a shelf with 4 heads.

Fist view the red jacket on the right.

Collect the paper from the pocket, this is a clue for later and then tap on the sleeve on the right, there is a tail sticking out.

Iguana Collectible: There are 10 hidden Iguanas to find in the game, this is the first. You can check the Setting page at any time to see your progress in finding them all.

Next view a purple book on top of the blue cabinet, open it and tap the pages to tear out a blank piece of paper.

Cabinet Door Star

Notice the right side door on the blue cabinet, this has a star shape an you can change the symbols on it, we need a clue to help.

Turn back to the right and then right again to see 2 pictures on the wall. The left one is of you, odd. Then check the one on the right. This is a clue.

Around the windmill you will see 5 symbols or items. Their positions may vary but they will be laid out in a star shape.

On my game these is a wind at the top. Then an eye on the left and sun on the right. Then below this a frog and a snail.

Check your own picture and then return to the cabinet with the star shape lock. Set the symbols to match your picture and the door will open.

Collect a Blue Key and a Pulley. Turn twice again to the wall with the 2 pictures. then use the blue key to open the bottom drawer below the picture of Laia. Collect from it the 'tint for a typewriter' (ribbon).

Typewriter

Now view the typewriter on the table on the right. Add the paper and the ribbon to it.

You will now have a message typed out for you to read, this is a clue. There will be a description of 4 heads, this can vary with each game so check your own list.

• Turn back to the shelf with the 4 heads.
• Tap the heads in the order as described on the paper.
• Each head will make a noise a set number of times. This gives you a number for each.
• You now have a 4 number code.

Turn to the left and you will see 2 shelves with a purple box on the top one.

View the box and use the code to open it.

From inside collect a small crank and you can also view a paper with a clue.

This show 3 rows of x's, note the color order. On my game it was blue, yellow, red.

Pulleys

Now notice the pulleys on the right. Add the Pulley you have to them and then the rope. And finally the crank.

You can now tap the crank to raise up a box. View the box to see a puzzle.

Follow the paper clue above to set the 3 rows of skulls to match the colors.

You can now collect some Cutting Pliers from the box. Use the cutting pliers on the metal grid covering the hole on the left to try to open it.

At this point you will suddenly start to remember the past, this starts a flash back from the previous day in a different location. A Cave.

Flashback - The Cave

In the entrance top the cave you can see 2 drawings on the wall, A face with 3 eyes and 2 figures standing by a door.

Iguana Collectible: Tap to view the small hole on the right wall to look inside for the lizard.

Go through the doorway to the first room.

View the shelves on the top left and collect the black book from the lower shelf.

You can now view this book in your inventory and look through the pages, there are several clues in here that you will need.

Turn to the left to see a cabinet with a broken door. Note the symbol clue on the wall.

View the cabinet and collect a nail, then open the other door and collect the head of lettuce.

Turn left again to see a puzzle on the wall and another doorway.

Go through the doorway to an open area with 2 levels. On the lower level you can see a rope bridge that is broken. Collect the smaller rock in the center.

Iguana Collectible: View the larger rock on the right to find a lizard hiding.

Lower Level

Now tap the doorway on the left to move down some steps to the lower level.

View the top of the large blue cabinet and open the doors to find a Toy boat and a Green key

Then view the bottom doors to see a puzzle.

If it is correct it will remain open

Hints:

• There are 8 locking bars, 4 top and 4 bottom.
• An arrow shows the first one to open
• Tap the red button by each bar to open it. If the sequence is correct it will remain open.
• If you get the sequence wrong then all with close and you need to start again.
• You need to use trial and error to discover the sequence.
• The sequence in my game is shown in the video below

Collect a drill, and a fluorescent tube.

Go back up the steps to the top level and then back to the main room, turn right to the broken cabinet.

4 Colored Lines

View the panel on the wall to the right with 4 colored switches.

Use the green key to open the panel and then place the fluorescent tube inside. You will see 4 line shapes on the white squares.

You can now tap the 4 switches to give colored lights, these will reveal symbols on the 4 squares.

Using a clue in the black book you can get a sequence of 4 symbols.

Example: The first symbol for me was a yellow wave line. Turn on the yellow light and note the symbol that appears on the wave.

Once you have the sequence turn to the left again and go back through the door to the open area with 2 levels. Then go down to the lower level. Turn left to see a red door and a rock face.

View the box below the face and use the code to open it. Your code may be different.

Collect a large candle, a box with no opening mechanism, and a paper with a clue.

Now turn right and go back up and through to the first room. View the puzzle on the left wall.

Button slider puzzle

• There are 4 buttons that can be moves along the 4 slots in the panel.
• Use the paper clue and one on the wall (turn to the right) to place them in the correct positions.
• For example the paper in my game shows the button with 3 circles in the top left corner. Move it on its track to resemble this.
• Your clue may vary.

Once done the compartment below will open and you can collect a metal file and a black marker pen. Go through the doorway again and then down to the lower level. Turn twice to see the opposite wall with a turtle behind bars.

Free the Turtle

View the turn and then use the metal file to cut away the middle bar. Collect the Iron bar.

Then place the head of lettuce on the right tile to lure the turtle out.

You can now collect a hammer from the hole where the turtle was. Go back up to the first room and turn to the left to see a large grey rock with a blocked stream on the left.

Place the 'big rock' that you have on the ground to the left and then add the iron bar to it.

Tap the bar to move the large boulder blocking the stream. You will then see the water flow past a key. Place the toy boat on the water on the left and it will float through and pick up the key, you can then collect the key.

Turn to the left an then use the key to open the large box on the left.

Collect a spoon and a mirror. Now look on the wall to the right of the doorway.

Place the Mirror

Place the nail in the hole at the top and then use the hammer to knock it in. Then hang the mirror on the nail.

Next use the black box with no opening mechanism on the mirror. You will collect a glass eye.

Third Eye

Go though to the open area and down to the lower level. Then turn to the left to see the rock face.

Use the drill on the face to make a hole at the top and then add the glass eye to it.

Collect the scissors and the pink key. You will then see that the eyes will move in different directions, these may vary for you.

Now go back up to the first room and then turn right to see the broken cabinet. Then tap on top of it to see a vise.

Tap the handle on the left to close it a little. Then add the large candle to it.

Now open the black book and turn the pages to find the drawing of a key.

Use the scissors to cut this out, then add the key shaped paper to the candle.

Use the black marker pen to mark an outline on the candle and then use the spoon on it to carve out the wax key. Turn to the left and view the small red box on the ground.

Use the wax key to open it and you can collect a lever.

Repair the rope bridge

Now go back through the doorway to the open area and down to the lower level. First turn to the right to see the chasm with the broken bridge.

Iguana Collectible: look in the chasm and then tap on the grey rock to find the lizard.

Now turn right again to see the turtle and then tap on the left side tile to open the center door.

View the machine inside and add the lever to the slot on the left.

Next you need to set the 3 dials on the right.

The clue is the direction of the the eyes on the rock face. Your eyes may be different.

When you have the dials set tap the lever and you should see that the bridge is repaired for you to cross.

Tap the far side of the bridge to go across and watch the cut scene.

3 years ago - Secret Room

After the scene you will be back to the time when you moved into the house, 3 years ago. You see a ghost and then discover a secret room behind a cupboard.

You are locked in.

First view the rocking horse toy on the right and then tap it to make it rock. you will see 4 symbols to remember. These can be different for each game.

Now turn to the right to see a table and a blanket fort.

View the red book on the table, this will tell you about the cave and then about a Crystal seed that can help.

Next look on the shelf above this and collect the 'Incomplete Extension Clamp'.

Next look inside the blanket fort.

Iguana Collectible: Tap the blue pillow on the left to find the lizard.

Look under the white pillow at the back to collect a valve.

Then view the cards on the floor on the right.

There will be 4 cards that resemble the symbols you saw behind the rocking horse. Turn these over and make a note of the symbols on the other side. These can be different for your game.

Turn back to the left and view the yellow box on the table to the left of the door.

Use the 4 symbols you have to open it. Collect a ball of yarn and a small crank handle. Turn to the left to see the red desk. Open the drawer on the desk to collect a paperclip.

Then add the crank handle to the colorful box on the left. Tap it to turn until the box opens and you can collect a black key.

Turn to the left again to see a window.

Iguana Collectible: tap on the right red curtain to find this one.

Use the black key on the red box on the right to open it and collect Paint Thinner and a Deflated Balloon.

Next open both of the drawers on the right to collect a small rag and also a screwdriver.

Turn to the left again back to the locked door. Combine the small rag and the paint thinner in your inventory to get a rag with paint thinner and then use this on the picture of Giselle.

This will reveal 4 symbols. These can be different for you.

Turn to the left to see the red desk then view the lock on the shutter on the left.

Use the 4 symbols from your game to unlock it.

Dumb waiter

You will find a dumb waiter hatch, press the up button to raise it, and then also a second time so that you can look under.

Look underneath to see a paper with a clue.

Remember the arrow directions, your game can be different. Now turn twice to and look inside the blanket fort again. There is a box with 6 switches.

Set the positions of the switches according to the arrows on the paper in your game.

Collect 'the end of a gripper' and a large hook. Turn twice back to the dumb waiter. Add the large hook to the bottom.

Now use the buttons to send the waiter down to the bottom. (tap twice). then back to the top. Collect the camera

Look on the top shelf on the right, there is a note sticking out out of the purple book. This is a clue.

Ghostly Photos

Now select the camera in your inventory. This will overlay a camera view on the room.

Tap the red button to take a photo. Then turn to the other 3 views of the room and take a photo of each. When you have 4 photos you can view them in your inventory.

Each photo will have a ghost holding up a number of fingers. Use the clue of the note from the book to get an order, the symbols will tell you the view. Rocking Horse, Plant pot, Window, Duck. Each of these items appears in one view of the room.

Turn to the window view and tap on the large chest on the left.

Use the code from the clues above to open it.

Collect a bow from inside. Next turn right to the view with the red desk. Then look under the desk at the socket.

Find the Pencil

Use the screwdriver to open it. There is a pencil a long way inside.

Combine the incomplete extension clamp with the end of a gripper to get an extension clamp. Then use this on the hole to collect the pencil.

Now view the pencil sharpener on top of the desk and add the pencil to it to sharpen it.

Turn right and view the Helium gas cylinder. Add the valve to it and then the deflated balloon.Tap the valve to fill the balloon and collect the inflated balloon.

Select the paperclip in your inventory.

Tap on the Bend clip option. You will get a bent paper clip. Now combine the balloon with the yarn. Then combine that with the bent paper clip. You have a balloon with a hook.

Turn twice to see the window. Then tap the up arrow above the window to look up.

Iguana Collectible: tap the tail on the left to find another Iguana.

Red Key

On the right is a red key, use the balloon on it and it will float up and collect the key.

Now that the balloon is on the ceiling. Combine the bow and the sharpened pencil. Then use this on the balloon. You will shoot it down and collect the key.

Turn back to the blue door and use the key on it to escape the room.

A strange Idol

Watch the cut scenes as you explain to your dad what you need to do. He then collects the pink key that you have and returns with a strange idol.

Turn to face the red door.

Use the strange idol on the door to open it. Go through to meet the witch.

She casts a spell on you to trap you in another dimension, this is the recovery of your memories and now you are back in the mysterious house that you started the game in.

View the metal grate again and use the pliers to cut it open.

Pass through to a cavern.

Cavern

First turn to the right to see a coffin. Collect the white stone from the ground on the left.

Then tap the shutter on the wall at the back, it will open to reveal a puzzle.

Fit the Tetris pieces into the grid on the left.

Solution:

Show

The coffin will open and a hand will appear.

Collect the key from the hand and also collect a 'token with a strange symbol' from the cuff.

Iguana Collectible: Tap inside the open coffin to find another lizard.

Turn to the left and go back through the archway to the house. Then turn right to see the shelf of heads again.

View the cabinet below and use the key to open the locked door.

Collect a bottle of cleaning alcohol, a second clue paper and a photo of a scarecrow. Now go back through the hole to the cavern, turn to the left to see a Lamppost.

Collect the white stone from the ground.

Iguana Collectible: Tap the bottom of the lamppost to find this Iguana.

Now turn left again to see a skeleton in a cage.

You can view the skeletons hand to see a clue.

Then view the 3 pots on the left.

Iguana Collectible: Look inside the left hand pot for another Iguana.

Look inside the right hand pot and collect another token.

Now view the bird nest on the central column.

Show the photo of the scarecrow to the bird and it will fly away. You can then collect the nest.

Light the Lamp

Turn left to see the lamp post again and then view it closely. Add the bird nest to it and then add the bottle of cleaning alcohol. Then use the Two white stones on it to strike a spark and start a fire.

This will attract 4 flies who will change colors and then settle on 4 of the symbols on the wall. Remember these colors and symbols.

Now head back through the hole to the house and turn to the left to see the 2 pictures. Then view the top drawer of the blue unit on the left.

Set the correct symbols for the colors shown on the lock to open it.

Collect from inside another Token and a paper with a clue. Go back through the hole and view the table on the left with the scales and the 4 stones.

Weigh the stones

• The symbols on the stones are the same as those on the paper.
• Add the stones one at a time to the scale to weight them and get a number for each.
• Then use these values to work out the 4 numbers from the paper.
• The clues on the paper can vary for your game
• Solution: The solution for my game was 8 2 3 2

Return to the house and view the lock on the large metal box next to the hole.

Set the combination using the numbers from the clue above.

Show

Collect a third paper clue and a small pickaxe.

Go back to the cavern and turn to the left to see the lamp. Use the pickaxe on the wall, you can find the correct place to tap on the clue held by the skeleton.

Collect a red diamond.

Go back to the house and turn left to see the skull on a pedestal.

Find the seeds

Add the Red diamond to it, you will see a barrier drop in the cavern. Go down to the cavern and through the opened pathway.

Tap on the root to collect the 3 seeds. Notice the clue on the wall on the right.

Then tap the rock on the left of the root to find another Token to collect.

Now go back to the house and turn to the red door. View the panel on the left of the door with a lever.

• You need to add the 4 tokes to the board and place them in the correct spots.
• You can place them on the board and then move them around.
• Use the clues from the 3 papers you have, as well as the one you just saw on the wall in the cavern.
• When you have then correct pull the lever and the door will open
• My solution is shown below

When the door opens go through and watch the cut scene.

This is the end of the main game

Premium Content

You are in a dark room with only a desk with paper on top.

View the desk and open the drawer to collect a black marker pen.

Now view the paper and use the pen on it, 5 words will appear.

• You can select a word to draw the item.
• When you draw an item the an object will appear.
• You can do these in any order but you will need all of them.
• You can draw them all before proceeding as I have done below or you can work through each one.

Once they are all drawn you will see this scene.

View the bookshelf and open the blue book, turn to the last page to see a clue.

Now view the puzzle board that appears for the scissors word.

Tap the squares to turn the over and match the pattern from the book. You can then collect the scissors.

Now use the scissors on the string holding the key, you can then collect the key. Use the key to open the door, a ghost will appear.

Take the ball and give it to the ghost, it will then let you use the door to escape.

Go through and tap to approach the sitting figure.

You will then see a final teaser for the next game in the series, Another Shadow.
