So leveling up the ruins gives you increased benefits for whatever ruin it is. With that being said, what benefits do you get for leveling the guard or resource ruins? Asking for an alliance.

Resource ruin increases capacity. Max level (level 7) currently gives 10M food or oil per tile (100 tiles max), not sure what it is for gold.
I'm guessing guard increases number of spawns. Level 4 can spawn level 50 units x110.
Leveling up a ruin also makes it harder to capture, increasing the amount of damage attackers must do to gain control.
