Since the game was released in the US, fans were in love with Taichi Panda's endless potential for occupying an entire day of their time, while spending absolutely none of their hard earned money, but they had a few requests. Snail Games responded by holding open forums for user recommendations, providing more than five active email addresses for fans to contact various levels of the Panda hierarchy, and providing an almost constantly staffed Facebook page to offer real-time answers to their most burning questions and problems. This massive display of fan appreciation will culminate in an the upcoming update/revamp that seeks to customize the Taichi Panda experience according to the whims and wishes of the players, themselves. Now, seriously. How cool is that?

We got a chance to play through the Beta version of the update and here are, hands-down, our favorite changes.

1.

The first change players will notice when they log in will be a completely updated homescreen, complete with labels to help players navigate the game's myriad of game modes and options.

2. The update will add an Autoplay feature (unlockable after the tutorial) that allows the playable character and their minions to auto-destroy any in-game level. Unlike the Automatic Mode in PvP, the player maintains control over the character's special skills and has the option to direct the character's movement without canceling the Autoplay feature. Autoplay will be available from the very first level play through and has the added benefit of decreasing the amount of time spent pathfinding between level sections and loot collecting. Autoplay can be enabled or disabled at any time in the run and does not effect EXP gain or loot drops.

2. Fans of Auto-Loot will be thrilled to hear that the game will now offer the feature in single increments instead of burning through the sizable chunk of Constitution Points that it does currently.

3. Get ready to contribute to those Guilds, players, because after this update, who you hang with will actually matter! The new Guild features include a time-sensitive Team Instance only for the Guild willing to pony up the highest entrance bid. These Guild Rumbles will offer spectacular prizes not found elsewhere in the game.

4. While the Pets system will generally remain unchanged, the update will bring with it some new species and updated skills for your furry, slimy and scaly friends. (Spoiler Alert!! Boxer, everyone's fall back for his awesome Silence skill, will offer a combat health boost !)

There is also a new pet upgrade, Awakening on the way to ensure your battle partners survive just as long as you do.

5. Since the US release, the Taichi Panda online community has become something of troll bait due to their server-specific and mostly unmoderated chat boards, and some players have rightfully found some of their fellow Panda's colorful commentary a bit dicey. On top of providing a scrolling message link to report uncooperative and grumpy Pandas, the update will come with a daily message board limit for World Chat that slowly increases from 10 messages per day. While 10 trolling thoughts per player may still be off-putting, it is certainly better than an infinite amount.

6. From just about Day One, players were disappointed that the only customizable option to set them apart from their same-species teammates were their cleverly thought out nicknames, well guess what? The game update will bring a wardrobe of handsome armor and fancy dresses (some even with matching weapons!) to satisfy even the most fashion-conscious battle-hardened warrior.

7. Weapon surging will be coming with the update as yet another way to enhance your might. The skill won't unlock until level 41, though, so you'll have some time to get used to this concept.

8. Another detail has been added to help players show off their in-game surperiority- a shiny new title system! All players will be bestowed the slightly demeaning moniker of Rookie after making it through the tedious tutorial map and it will provide a slight status boost on top of some possible self-esteem issues. There is a whole list of titles just waiting to be earned and each one will convey a different skill bonus along with bragging rights, as the title is displayed floating over each character in the Home Screen, Team Instance map and Multiplayer Features.
