What are Pets for?
Survival Island: Evolve Guide
What are pets?
Pets are available to use in the game from the hud menu icon on the right hand side as below. The game does not allow you to capture or tame wild animals but has the option to use the 3 animals shown. A dog/fox, a lion and an elephant.
The first pet is available to use for free although the game makes you watch a video advert before you can activate it. The other 2 pets need to be unlocked by paying in came coins. 770 for the Lion and 2500 for the Elephant.
(glitch available)
You can activate the pets at any time, however you can only have one active at a time. If you select the lion for example and then select the dog you will lose the Lion until a red timeout indicator has run out and you can then swap back to the Lion again.
What are they for?
The main use of the pets is to act as a hunting buddy / protector. The selected pet will roughly follow you around and will attack any animals near you. This is very useful for keeping you safe and makes hunting a great deal easier, especially with the larger animals. A lion can tackle most animals on the island and the elephant can take out any other animals you encounter.
Your pet can die from taking damage in fights and also if you attack it by mistake. But it will not turn against you.
