How to play Rocket Partners
While you can play Rocket Partners with one random partner, you'll only be able to complete one of the builds if you do. To get the most out of any partner event on Monopoly Go you'll need to find yourself four partners to play alongside.
Basically how it works is that you work with your partners to collect the partner event token, which you then use to spin a wheel in the Rocket Partners event in order to get points towards one of your rockets.
The key to doing well in any partner event is to find good partners, here are some tips to do that.
How to find good partners
Here are some tips to help you find a good partner:
- Check your current friends list leaderboard, try to work out who are top players and take the game more seriously. You'll need to make sure that they are currently still active. When you make the invite to them you'll see when they were last on.
- Try our Monopoly Go forum, there are lots of people there that will be looking for decent and reliable partners that can take on their 50% share.
- Try to remember who you have partnered with previously to try to recall if they we a good partner or not when deciding if you want to invite them again, or if you accept an invite from them.
- Don't just accept any invite, do try to check out the player a bit first of all, the minimum being seeing where they are on your friends list leaderboard.
- There are various subReddits and Discords that are dedicated to Monopoly Go. People may advertise their availability there and show screenshots of their current dice. Some will be telling the truth, but some may not be.
- Leave a note and your friend code in the comments below maybe another visitor to our site will partner with you.
- You don't have to choose all four partners right away, you have some time, even some top players leave gaps to add more partners later.
How to add partners
To add a partner you just have to click on one of the gren plus icons in the middle of the board, then a list of possible partners will pop up. At the top of the list will be any player that has invited you, if you want to accept one just tap the accept button.
Further down the list you will see players from your friends list, there will be a timestamp next to their logo to show you their last activity time with the game, if you want to invite one to be your partner, just press the invite button.
Be careful who you choose, because you can't change partners!
How to get more Rocket Partners event tokens
The majority of the event tokens will be gained via the main banner event. We advise that you take a moment to check both the tournament and main event rewards and milestones list, which you can find by first going to our daily events page and selecting a current or upcoming event where you can view the complete rewards and milestones for that event, to work out how far you want to go in an event to get enough event tokens.
- Shop reward
To get this, tap the three lines at the top of the game, enter the shop, then in the top panel, scroll right about four times and the eight hour reward is there or it will tell you when to come back for it.
- Quick Wins
Completing the individual quick wins every day is another great way to get a decent amount of event tokens. The quick wins are generally easy to complete at reset every day at 9 AM ET.
- Game Board
There are a number of event tokens scattered around the game board, land on these to get event tokens equivalent to the number of dice you threw for that turn.
- Tournaments
Every day or every two days there is a new tournament, while Rocket Partners is running, you'll also be able to get some event tokens from some of the milestones, and also if you finish high enough up on the leader board. You can check out the full rewards list and work out how many event tokens you can get by heading over to our daily events page.
- Main banner events
Every 2-4 days there is a new main event which is listed in the front and center of the game board. While Rocket Partners is running, certain milestones in these main events will give you free event tokens. You can check out the full rewards list and work out how many event tokens you can get by heading over to our daily events page.
- Free Rocket Partners event token links
If we see links for free event tokens, then generally they come towards the end of a partner event. We will be looking out for them every day of the event, and if any are released, we'll place them on our free dice links page.
Event and Tournament Strategy for Rocket Partners
As you know there is always a banner event and a tournament running on Monopoly Go. Any events that start after Rocket Partners has started (except those that start in the final hours of a partner event), will contain the event tokens that you use in this partner event.
But how you plan and approach these is important if you want to maximize how many event tokens you get while minimizing your dice spend.
Usually I only concentrate of the banner event or tournament that is due to finish first and work out which milestone I want to achieve in that event, because events uaully overlap, a tournament may finish on day one of Rocket Partners, while the banner event continues over two or three days. The problem is is you push too far on the first day, while the tournament changes, you'll still be playing the same banner event and you could end up getting to the milestones which are too difficult to complete without using a ton of dice.
So, I always stagger my progress across overlapping events to try to prevent getting too far into the milestones that I may lose a lot of dice on.
Rocket Partners FAQs
Here are a few FAQs gained from playing numerous Monopoly Go partner events.
How many points to complete the event?
The points total you need to complete one build is 80,000 points, so to complete the whole event you and your partners would need to accumulate 320,000 points together. That should underline the importance of trying your best to select helpful partners for this event. There is no set rule for the amount of points that you personally need to contribute. No matter what your contribution to an individual build is, both partners can claim the same rewards.
Is there a Wild Sticker reward for this event?
Yes! The wild sticker as a final prize has returned for this event. Complete all four roackets to get it.
Should I complete each attraction individually first?
Some people play partner events by selecting one partner and completing one item at a time. I don't play this way. As long as I have enough dice to believe I should be able to make at least a 50% contribution to a completed build, I add all of my partners early in the event and then try to distribute my points across all four partner builds, aiming to at least match the progress of my partners.
Are there any free event token links for Rocket Partners?
In some previous partner events such as Fountain Partners, there were some free event token links distributed. If any are given out for this event, we'll find them ans post them alongside our free dice links page which we update daily with free dice links too.
