Team chest how do you play?
Honestly here is a little trick not most people know or talk about (so you can thank me later haha) if you’re more so looking to win the team chest (by collecting the most gems) and you’re not worried about racking up coins and or trophies, stick with levels 1 and 2 and put ALL of your clubs as the basic ones (from driver all the way to putter) and notice that your opponent will 98% of the time also have the same clubs) this is because YOU ARE ALMOST ALWAYS playing a bot on those levels. Change your driver to the lemon, your opponent will have the lemon. Then when you’re ready to take your shot(s) quickly change your club to what ever club you’d normally use. The ball doesn’t have to be changed prior to game play they almost always use the rainbow swirl ball. But this will give you an advantage not only with a nearly guaranteed win, but allow you to get more gems as well. If you don’t care about losing a few 100 coins, do the same thing I just mentioned and stick with stage 1 and don’t even worry about winning. Just rack up the gems.
Aside from what GCSeanster mentions, the best way is to play, win or lose and as long as you do not quit (forfeit) a game then the gems you obtain count toward the team chest. The more you grab and hold onto as long as your opponent does not hit your ball to knock a few out or hit your ball out of bounds (OB) to get all your gems you previously obtained (these are permitted and encouraged to do by the developer/publisher/owner of the game). As for what constitutes as OB if you are in a match where there is an open space to the out of bounds are or water hole you simply hit their ball OB into the water or off course, jumps help with getting over certain protection fences, bunker them does not count as OB as it is still in fair play. Of course any of this hardly matters if they got a ball with Iron will of 1 or 2 so the first hit or two will have no effect on their ball at all.
