I don't understand the clue 463512 won't open the door?

Same problem, had to use. Answer provided on screen, not on hint card to get through.

After you open the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 door, the gear lock is in that room 22.

In the clue, 1 is in the 5th position, hence the first number in the code is 5. 2 is in the 6th position, so the second number in the code is 6. And so on.
