Call of Dragons Getting Started Tips
Getting of to a good start early in the game is a good idea because the decisions you make early such as which faction you want to join will impact which buffs and troops you get access too. Here's a rundown of each faction and our find out which one we picked.
Choosing a Faction
There are three factions to choose from in Call of Dragons, each one will have slightly different strengths and weaknesses, check out each one and decide based on your style of gameplay.
If you are more of a farmer, then try the League of Order faction for the farming buff.
If you think you will be conquering a lot and battling on the map then the Wilderburg faction is probably the best choice because of the strength buffs.
If you will be grinding a lot against the default enemies on the map then probably the Springwardens faction is your best choice.
At the end of the day, what really matters will be how much power you can accumulate in the game, which heroes you unlock and power up and how developed you will become.
So don't stress too much about this choice, they are all good, just different! And if you want to know... We chose Wilderburg faction based on the strength and battle buffs.
Follow the Tutorial
The tutorial is great in Call of Dragons, it will get you of the great start in the game and get you familiar with the basics of the game. Don't rush through it, there is a lot to learn.
But you can see from the tutorial and how the game looks, that this game is one that is likely to be around for many years.
Grind
As with all games like this, to get anywhere significant you will have to grind, that means constantly upgrading buildings, researching, creating more troops and farming.
Especially early in the game, when the upgrades will come thick and fast. We do recommend early on to spend your free resources and any free gems, there is no point in hanging onto them so early in the game when you'll likely earn loads more when you get to a more advanced level.
Then of course the strategy does change a bit and you need to save your gems for your favorite events, or anything that you really need.
Do try to keep your builders and troops active though, and work out when jobs are finished so you can log back in again and start off more tasks.
Join an Alliance
Finding the right alliance is important, and you'll get loads of great benefits from joining and alliance in Call of Dragons.
Look for a high power alliance that will accept you based your your own power in the game and activity levels. The better and more active the alliance usually the more they will be active with helps and free rewards.
Really not worth starting your own alliance, I did this in another game once and it was a bit meh... Better to join an established alliance and start reaping those rewards.
