Idk the highest but I'm at 11893458 and still counting.

Well I'm at 322 million and my top screen scores are overlapping so I think it tops out at 1 billion

Why did they update it? I don't know of we'll ever find out the maximum score or a world record if the balls go straight down every time you hit a corner

The highest you can get is 2,147,483,552. After that is starts counting back to from negative 2,147,483,552. If you stop and start the game it will reset at zero. However you will start with the number of balls you had. For instance I started with over 4k balls and a zero score.
