9. Upgrading Replacement Ships

At various points in the game your Parrot bud will suggest that you replace your ship with a better one - in fact the first time you do it there is no cost. But when you do that, what should you do about your old ship?

Actually you should strip it bare and then take the best parts from it and put them on your new ship (if they are the best - if you have better use those) and then run the rest through the Forge.

In theory when you find yourself with three old ships of lower level, you can run THOSE through the Forge to get yourself a new ship that is at least your current level.

Then you can use the recipe to increase its level cap to make it even more useful!
