Take on the world in Clash of Clans

Developed by Supercell, also well known for Hay Day and more recently Boom Beach, Clash of Clans is a free online strategy game, supported by an in-game premium currency. Having been originally released in 2012, it is one of the most successful iOS and Android games to date, and quite rightly, based on its fine balancing and intelligent gameplay mechanics. It is a hybrid between tower defense and offensive strategy, requiring you to plan the layout of your base, while at the same time building an army fit to take on a whole world of enemies.

Clash of Clans is largely a multiplayer game, and is best enjoyed by engaging with all the other players out there - and there are a lot of them, as this is a seriously successful game. However, there is a single-player element, as you can take your armies to defeat various goblin tribes that litter the game map. Before long, though, you will need to take on other human players. The key to succeeding at this is to choose the correct units to take into each battle. There is a wealth of variety on offer in this department, though not so many that you won't be able to remember which units are strong against which defenders. When attacking the enemy, the main goal is to destroy their Town Hall. If you are able to completely obliterate their entire base, however, then you will get a 3-star perfect score for the raid.

When attacking, you tap on screen where you want each unit to deploy. You can have quite a lot to deploy before battle commences, and there are a number of strategies surrounding where to place your units to avoid enemy defenses. Once on the battlefield, the units will pretty much go into automatic mode, usually choosing their targets intelligently based on their class. Initially, you will only be fighting against enemy defensive structures - things like turrets or mines, but eventually a building called the Clan Castle can be built, which allows defenders to employ physical units to aid their cause. Before long, you can join a clan, and go raiding with your friends, or call on them for help in a time of need.

There is a lot of strategy in which units to take on a raid and where to place them on the battlefield. There is an equally high level of thought required for the defensive elements of the game. Chiefly, which buildings to upgrade and where to position them are the key questions. You can also use Walls to channel the enemy into areas of strong defense - though they can always break their way straight through. Some players will try to trick you with a path into the base that looks, at first glance, to be easily penetrable, only for you to find out that they wanted you to go down there to spring a trap on you.

So there is a lot to learn with Clash of Clans, and a wide range of nuances in the gameplay to perfect. For free, it offers an astonishing amount of gameplay, but as usual with freemium games, there are drawbacks that you will come up against. As is frequently the case, Gems are the premium currency in the game, and are used primarily to avoid waiting times for buildings and upgrades. Upgrades play a major role in the game, so you will frequently find yourself wanting to skip the sometimes-arduous wait times. Disappointingly, there are also some things in the game which are necessary, but which you can only do using Gems - hiring more Builders so that you can construct more things at once, for example. Fortunately, Gems are given out reasonably regularly - when you complete achievements and occasionally as you remove obstacles such as rocks and bushes from your base.

Clash of Clans is a couple of years old now, but looks pretty good. You would describe it as functional rather than beautiful, but you will find yourself getting attached to the various units with their colorful and attractive design. Sound and music is understated, but in a game designed to be played on a handheld, that's to be expected. Overall, there is a heck of a lot to do and learn in Clash of Clans, and you should at least try it to see if it's your cup of tea. The famous mix between tower defense and strategic offense is something everyone should try, at least to see if you are willing to put up with the wait times and premium currency.

There are autobot that attacks in each base if you have a lots of loots. Is now working to and you will someday experiencing this soon. Even though that this popular game is so very strong when it comes to their security, still, there are people that will look for something to dominate that game. Good luck.
